About The Musical Murphys

What:

Our story in short goes as follows: Crazy musical talent marries an all around artist gal. Together they adventure in worship music leading and creative living with two kids (and one on the way) in tow, all for the Glory of God.

Who:

Songwriters Mike and Allie met in Nashville, TN. Following God’s lead they left the music city behind for the faithful calling of making music for His church! Now they lead the body of Christ to worship in Augusta, GA where Mike is a Worship Director at First Presbyterian Church.

Mike has a BM in Commercial Music (Guitar and Composition) from Belmont University and is an avid instrumentalist of 30+ instruments. He loves languages and anything Irish. Mike is passionate about using all styles and instruments in the church to diversity the worship of His people. He is currently working towards a MATS (Masters of Arts and Theological Studies) degree at Erskine Seminary.

Allie has a BA in Design Communications with a minor in Piano from Belmont University. She is a well rounded artist in every way! Allie is a mother, homemaker, artist, songwriter, sewer, musician and the creative force behind our blog.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. Psalm 40:3
